      Big things:

      – One data-reduction pipeline for space-telescope data.

      – One high-level control-system for a family of large telescopes.

      – Twenty or so web services for sharing astronomy data on-line.

      – A “virtual data-centre” for sharing basic physics-data on-line.

      These are all large projects that each took years and many people were involved in their making. That’s how it goes with space telescopes: nothing is small and nothing is quick. I’ve written quite a lot of small programs for astronomy along the way.
