By observing the ripples in spacetime caused by more than one black hole colliding =). That’s the best way (in my opinion) to discover new black holes is to “listen” to them smashing into each other. This ripples in spacetime are called gravitational waves… this is my main job – to understand the theories about how space and time are “warped”.
